Post 17: I Woke Up at 1 PM
I woke up at 1 PM today! (hahaha) It's definitely the latest I've ever slept in, but it was worth it. Last night was super fun and sleeping in after so many packed and busy days was incredible. I feel rested and ready for the second half of this trip.
Today was a short day, but we visited Sao Paulo's little Tokyo (Liberdade) with the time we had, and it was fun. There was a street fair going on today, so we looked around here. We also went in this grocery store that had both Brazilian and Japanese foods, which was interesting. It was so strange and cool to see this mix of cultures. We also got really really good bubble tea at this place where you could choose the bubble flavors, which we don't have in Boston, where I would get bubble tea every night after studying. I also spent some time just taking pictures, which was fun.
Tonight we had a wine and cheese night at my hostel which was awesome because it gave us all a chance to just talk to each other about the trip so far. I cannot believe that our time in Sao Paulo is already over!! It went so quickly. But at the same time, it feels like we've been here for months. I feel like I know everyone so well, and I often forget that I've only known most of them for 14 days. I'm so comfortable around everyone, and I feel like we've already become great friends.
I'm so excited for the next half of our trip and all of the things we have left to experience together!
